Two great American surf lifestyle companies were born in 2007- YOLO Board and DFW Surf, and now in their 10th seasons, they are joining forces together for one annual event- The Womens Watermen.
“Women make up 65% of the standup paddleboarding market, which is why we wanted to create an event for them,” says event founders and Texas SUP Champs Konae Nowell and Tyler Marshall.
The event will take place once again at DFW Surf- Frisco, Hidden Cove Park and Marina on Lake Lewisville. Sorry fellows, women paddlers only! Competitors will race around the infamous “You Only Live Once Island” and back to the start near Rockin’ S Bar and Grill. 2 divisions this year: Beginner- 1 Lap and Open- 2 Laps (12’6 boards only, no 14′).
