DFW Surf is happy to team up with GSNETX- Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, to offer Practice for Purpose, Outdoor Adventurer and Paddling badge opportunities for Girl Scout troops, Brownies, Seniors and Ambassadors around North Texas.
- Cost- $50/ Scout for our comprehensive paddlesports educational and training course with a certified instructor
- 30 minutes of land education/ rules/ safety followed by 1 hour on the water
- 8 Person Minimum Troop Size, 30 Person Maximum
- Parents are welcome to take the class too!
- Recommended time is Saturday evening, 5 or 6 pm, and then Troops are welcome to hang out after and grill out or bar-b-q onsite

Brownies/ Juniors Outdoor Adventure Badge (Ages 6-10)
Play Outdoors in a New Way. Try kayaking with a buddy aka tandem or 2-person kayaking. Learn about safety, equipment and then how to kayak with confidence Step 1: Have fun with the water Step 2: Explore your local paddle trail near DFW SURF.
Senior/ Cadette Paddling Badge (Ages 11-14)
Step 1. Explore paddlesports Step 2. Learn paddling safety Step 3. Practice paddling techniques Step 4. Go on a short paddling adventure.
Ambassador Ultimate Recreation Challenge Badge (Ages 12 +)
The ultimate water adventure is a chance to experience the sport of wakesurfing. Yep! You can actually surf an endless wave right here in North Texas. Learn How to Surf! Smaller group sizes only 4-8 persons. 3 Hours. Ultimate recreation challenge badge also awarded after completion of surf and yoga class, or after completion of our intermediate paddle class.
